What years did you study at XLIS?
I attended XLIS from 2017 to 2021.
What brought your family to XLIS/Xi’an?
My family is native to the area, although I am not completely sure about the full details of our family history.
Where are you located now?
I am currently based in Toronto, Ontario, where I am pursuing my undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto.
What are you doing now?
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, pursuing a BSc. in Mathematics with minors in Statistics and Economics. I continue to engage in various projects that allow me to deepen my knowledge and apply my skills in innovative ways.
What’s your fondest memory of XLIS?
I met so many great people and made many good friends during my time at XLIS. They helped me learn a lot of things—from academic insights to life skills—while also teaching me how to interact with others. The bonds and genuine friendships I formed have been invaluable and remain close to my heart.
Please share a story on how you are still making a difference today.
I am currently preparing to pursue a Master of Statistical Science or Data Science, with a focus on further research in designing domain-specific convolutional neural networks. This next step will allow me to contribute to advancements in the field, and I am excited about the opportunities to make a meaningful impact through innovative research.
