This series allows our community to connect with our alumni and learn the great work they are doing around the globe. The XLIS mission to enable confident, open-minded global citizens is evident in their lives.
Years you have studied at XLIS?
I studied at XLIS from 2018 to 2022, a total of four years.
What brought your family to XLIS/Xi’an?
Our deep recognition of the IB programme brought us to XLIS. The IB philosophy of holistic development, critical thinking, and global citizenship aligned closely with my family’s expectations for my growth.
Where are you located now?
Sydney, Australia.
What are you doing now?
I am currently in my third year studying Architecture at the University of Sydney, graduating soon and preparing to enter the workplace.
What’s your fondest memory of XLIS?
my fondest memory is preparing for the graduation art exhibition with my classmates during the busiest time of final year. I designed a large-scale installation that required moving soil into the Black Box. My friends stayed to help me even though they were busy. We ended up covered in dirt, and that mutual support is something I will never forget.
Please share a story on how you are still making a difference today.
For me, making a positive impact starts with myself: I keep setting goals and striving to move forward. As for the world around me, I hope to use what I have learned to make a difference in the field of sustainable architecture, contributing to a greener future.
