With the weather is getting hotter, the summer holiday is just around the corner. To enrich our students’ culture life and expand their minds during the summer holiday, XLIS teachers have prepared a special list of recommendations, including books, online programs and places worth visiting. We do hope that each student will be fully opening themselves to hear, see and feel, keeping both the body and soul on the way and gaining their own achievements in the summer holiday.

· Scenic spots
1. Taiping National Forest Park
Taiping National Forest Park is near downtown Xi’an, only 50-60 minutes away. There are various activities for adults and children. There are 12 waterfalls around the park. However, you can easily visit four waterfalls as you walked up the mountain. You can also take the cable car to save the time. The sight of the stream in the middle of the park and the mountains are breathtaking. There is a slide and resting areas everywhere to sit or for picnic. There are many restaurants inside and outside the park where you can enjoy Chinese authentic food, hotels and open spaces for children to play.
2. Expo Park
Expo Park is a perfect place for families offering various scenic spots and activities for adults and children. The park is huge and exploring it can take 5 hours at least. There is a big lake with artificial islands, pavilions, gardens and a steel pagoda. It has also a small zoo and an amusement park where you can enjoy various rides. You can rent a bike to explore the place, and camping is also possible. There is also a museum or pavilion that showcase Chinese cultural artefacts.
