On September 21, 2021, President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the 76th United Nations General Assembly, “Insist on harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Improve global environmental governance, actively respond to climate change, and build a community of human and natural life. Accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation to achieve green recovery and development. China will strive to achieve carbon peaks by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. This requires hard work, but we will do our best.”
Looking at the current situation, the climate is constantly changing, biodiversity is facing numerous crises, land desertification is intensified, and extreme weather events are emerging one after another, which has brought unprecedented severe challenges to the healthy survival and development of human beings. Building a community of human and natural life together is not only a fundamental requirement for countries to achieve sustainable development, but also an inevitable choice to promote the future of building a community with a shared future for mankind. The concept of “community of human and natural life” will become the fundamental follow to lead the construction of global ecological civilization.
Aeschylus, the master of ancient Greek tragedy, said: “Not only can we not force nature, we must also obey nature.” The Taoist in ancient China had similar views, emphasizing that Taoism is natural, it unites nature and man. Hegel puts forward: “When mankind hailed the victory over nature, it is also the beginning of nature’s punishment of mankind.” The natural world exists before humans, creating the environment and conditions suitable for life on the earth, creating various biological species and the entire ecosystem. When people live in harmony with nature, consciously protect the ecological environment, actively adapt, effectively use, and rationally transform, they often get rewards and favors from nature; When people demand resources from nature in a destructive, blind, and predatory manner, they often get ruthless punishment and retribution.
China’s “dual-carbon” goal shows a country responsible for the 13th “emergency action to address climate change and its impact” in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As a big province with abundant energy, Shaanxi Province is facing a tremendous test.
2022 Global Sustainable Development Youth Scientific Research Exchange Camp
2022 Global Sustainable Development Youth Scientific Research Exchange Camp under the Background of “Double Carbon” was jointly initiated by the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government, and the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Federation. It aims to enlighten young generation to think and study in-depth on technological innovation, low-carbon transformation, and green development, and promote the cultivation and development of innovative talents in our province.
Xi’an Liangjiatan International School is an IB school that advocates and practices SDG. SDG stands for Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It is a new goal that continues to guide global development work from 2015 to 2030 on the basis of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG). The SDG includes economic development, social equity, environmental sustainability three factors, and listed 17 specific goals.
SDG covers almost every aspect from human well-being to environmental development. It calls on governments and citizens around the world to take action and work hard for the sustainable development of the environment and for all people to create a dignified life and equal opportunities.

Dr. Dubkova Olga – Professor of Russian Language in Xi’an International Studies University
Dr. Dubkova Olga, Professor of Russian at Xi’an University of Foreign Studies, PhD (language theory), was awarded by the Russian Federation Agency for CIS Countries, Expatriate Compatriots and International Humanitarian Cooperation as an outstanding teacher of Russian literature. Her area of study is related to semantics, cognitive linguistics, psycholinguistics, translation, foreign language pedagogy, etc. She has published more than 70 public articles, two monographs, more than 20 textbooks, including Writing in Russian (Russian language textbook series for universities of the 21st century), Theory and Experiment of Translation, Chinese Worldview, etc. Dr. Dubkova Olga is a regular attender of various international conferences. Her works include Green book: Ecological Protection on the One belt, one road, Measuring the Sky, Measuring the Earth, Measuring Everything, History of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, China Beidou System – A Great National Weapon, Shaanxi Blue Book: Report on Social Development in Shaanxi, Selected Song Lyrics, Selected Tang Poems, Liang Jiahe, Gu Wenchang, a Chinese Communist, All the People’s Will to Prevent and Fight the Epidemic, China’s Opening Up to the World and the Upgrade of the Global Value Chain, The Beautiful World”. Dr. Jiayin Wang, a member of Shaanxi Youth Federation and Vice Chairman of Xi’an Youth Federation, professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Xi’an Jiaotong University, and is one of the selected members of the“Hundred Talents Plan”(Youth) of Shaanxi Province and is selected in the second batch of young top talent support program of Xi’an Jiaotong University.
Dr. Ali Shirvani – Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the College of Law of Northwestern University and researcher in the Center for China and Globalization Studies (CCG)
Dr. Ali Shirvani is currently an Assistant Professor of Northwestern University School of Law and a researcher of the Center of China and Globalization Studies (CCG). He studied law at the University of Isfahan and graduated from Xiamen University majoring in International Law. He was a researcher of the Middle East Institute of Northwestern University in Xi’an. His research field is the integration of international law and constitution. He has been teaching law for more than nine years and has written two books and several articles on private international law and related interdisciplinary fields.

Dr. Pingping Luo, a member of Shaanxi Youth Federation, professor and doctoral supervisor in the Water and Environment College of Chang’an University, and a member of Shaanxi Young Scientist Committee. Dr. Luo is the invited editorial board member of Pearl River, member of the Eco-Hydrology Committee of the Ecological Society of China, member of the Water Resources Committee of the China Society of Natural Resources and member of the Urban Water Conservancy Committee of the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society.
