Orientation Week for New Staff
After the leadership retreat, new staff orientation will begin. We will be welcoming 20 new staff members to the school. This time is dedicated to setting them up to succeed by introducing them to the different systems the school uses as well as to what planning, instruction and assessment look like at XLIS. During our pre-boarding sessions these new members were introduced to the XLIS mission as well as our Schoolwide Learner Outcomes. During this week they will start to understand how these are put into action.

Primary School Events
Our Primary Calendar is full of important events throughout the year. For the month of August, the Community Day and Meet the Teacher night are the two most important events for the month. Throughout the first two weeks of school, teachers will be busy getting to know each of the students in their class and they will plan activities to build a positive classroom community. Starting in September, there will be more opportunities to bring the XLIS community together.
