On March 10th, 12 students from Xi’an Liangjiatan International School achieved outstanding success at the 2026 ACAMIS Golf Invitational, held in Haikou, Hainan. Competing at the prestigious Mission Hills Golf Course, our students claimed multiple individual and team honors. Notably, Andy Wang from Grade 6 secured 2nd place in the Boys’ Group C overall ranking, and Amy Li won the Girls’ Group C Longest Drive award. Our school team also proudly achieved 6th place in the team competition.
As a premier sports event among international schools in Asia, this golf invitational attracted over 200 students from 25 schools. For our students, this marked their first official participation in a formal golf competition, and their success in securing various awards is not only a testament to their solid golfing skills but also a powerful reflection of our school’s deep commitment to the philosophy of holistic education and the fruitful results of our dedicated efforts in physical education.
Regarding hardware, our school is committed to international standards, having meticulously constructed professional sports spaces that cover a wide range of activities, allowing every student to experience the appeal of sports in a high-quality environment. This includes a standard 50m x 25m, 10-lane indoor swimming pool, a standardized indoor gymnasium, a 400m synthetic track, natural turf football fields, and multi-purpose basketball courts–facilities that meet the needs of daily physical education classes, recess activities, and traditional sports training. Furthermore, we have dedicated training areas for sports such as golf, baseball, and tennis, enabling students to complete systematic, foundational technical training on campus, thereby building a solid groundwork for external competitions and matches. Additionally, a specialized fitness room provides students with scientific strength and conditioning guidance and injury prevention support from professional staff, ensuring their training is both more effective and safer.
These excellent facilities provide fertile ground for our physical education curriculum. Building on this foundation, we have moved beyond the limitations of traditional, single-model PE classes to construct a diversified and personalized PE curriculum network. This network not only covers traditional sports like basketball, football, and volleyball but also integrates sports such as golf and rugby, which combine athletic competition with character development, into our teaching. This approach deeply merges skill training with the cultivation of abilities like teamwork.
On the greens, they continue to swing; along the path of growth, they keep progressing. True education aims not only to equip students with solid academic knowledge but also to cultivate strong physiques, resilient willpower, collaborative abilities, and a broad perspective. On the path of holistic education, our school will continue to deepen our commitment to physical education by persistently upgrading facilities, refining the curriculum system, optimizing training support, and building more international exchange platforms. Our goal is to ensure every Blue Dragon student can achieve personal growth through sports, shape their character through effort, and broaden their horizons through exchange–ultimately becoming well-rounded young talents equipped with both a love for their country and a global outlook, possessing sound character and comprehensive capabilities.
