A graduation ceremony is a very special occasion: it marks the culmination of years of hard work, the recognition of goals attained and the acknowledgement of successes achieved.
On 24th May, our DP 2 graduates received certificates for completing the Diploma Programme at XLIS. For all these students, it has been a journey that has taken them to remarkable heights. They have had trials and tribulations but have persevered and remained focused on their goal.
This group of students are diverse in their talents and personality: each leaves a mark wherever they go. Some will leave a long memory as they have been in the school longer but nevertheless, their memories will be fondly remembered. Their years in the Diploma Programme have not been without challenges- they have had disruptions in their studies over the two years. The quote from Henry Ford: ‘Getting together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success”.
These groups of students have lived this quote: they came together in the early years of the MYP, they stayed together as a community, caring for each other and making sure everyone was included in the groups, and the fact that they have worked together till the end shows that they have reached undeniable success.
I wish them all the best as they start their journey towards achieving other goals.
