Secondary Literacy and Culture Week
This year’s Literacy and Culture Week ignites a division-wide celebration of interdisciplinary learning, where creative expression and academic exploration converge. Various departments will cast a spotlight on subject-specific literacy through engaging, hands-on activities. Students might decode complex chemical formulas in the science lab, analyze pivotal primary sources in Individuals and societies, or bring literary characters to life through illustration in art class. Mathematics will challenge students with the precise geometry of architectural design, while the language acquisition department will host its thrilling ‘Spelling Bee,’ where contestants master words with impressive skill. This dynamic approach powerfully demonstrates that literacy—whether visual, numerical, scientific, or linguistic—is the essential key to unlocking every discipline.
