When facing the epidemic which broke out suddenly in Xi’an at the end of 2021, more than 700 teachers and students from 41 countries at XLIS displayed their understanding and passionate support to the protocols put into place on prevention and control of the pandemic implemented by the local government. During quarantine, our school staff did the nucleic acid tests daily and supported each other and their families in the fight against the virus.
During this challenging time, our teachers and students recorded an English cover of the Chinese song named “The Most Beautiful Dance” whilst at home. The Chinese song composed by Zuo Huiqi, and lyrics written by Zhou Haiyang, who are two musicians in Xi’an, were translated into English by Xi’an Liangjiatan International School. Through the song, we can see many international families in Xi’an sending positive energy during these difficult times and blessings to this city in which they live!
