Seven students from XLIS will attend the final round of the highly prestigious Spelling Bee of China (SPBCN) competition. The competition attracts top spellers from across the country vying for the coveted title of champion.
The SPBCN not only celebrates the art of spelling but also promotes language proficiency and cultural exchange among students. It provides a platform for young spellers to showcase their skills, learn from their peers, and foster a love for language learning. As a result, XLIS students are actively fulfilling the mission and vision of the school.
The journey to the final round was no easy feat, with students having to showcase their exceptional spelling abilities through a series of challenging rounds. From complex words to obscure vocabulary, these students demonstrated not only their mastery of spelling but also their dedication to honing their language skills.
We are incredibly proud of our talented spellers who have demonstrated exceptional skills and determination throughout the competition. Their success is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and passion for language learning.
As the final round approaches, we hope the XLIS community will rally behind their spellers, offering words of encouragement and support as they prepare to compete against the best spellers in the country. The final round promises to be a thrilling showcase of linguistic talent, with each student poised to give their best performance on the national stage.
The final round of the Spelling Bee of China is set to take place during the May holiday in Beijing, where our students, led by XLIS Secondary English Teacher Mr. Michael Koran, will put their spelling prowess to the ultimate test.
We wish our students the best of luck in the final round of the Spelling Bee of China. We are confident that they will represent our school with pride, skill, and sportsmanship. May their passion for spelling continue to inspire others and pave the way for future linguistic champions.
