Dear Parents,
I appreciate every member of our school community who is with us on our unique school mission. We come together to enable confident, open-minded, global citizens through life-long learning and a sense of community.
Happy Spring Festival
First and foremost, I want to wish all our community a very happy Spring Festival. This is a very special time for us to connect with family and bring in the new year together. I hope it is a restful family time for you.
Assessment Policy
Please find our assessment policy on our website here. I want to share with you a way we can all help our students. One of the goals of our assessment policy is for our teachers to share assessment criteria with students at the start of each unit. This is usually in the form of a rubric. I encourage you to ask your child to get the assessment criteria for each of their units and for you to talk through it with them. This is an area I need to develop in myself as a parent. If I can be of any help to you getting assessment criteria, please let me know.
Staff Turnover
I would like to end this letter with some good news. Our staff turnover is very low again this year. Keeping our staff long-term allows us to keep consistent relationships with our students and build. I am delighted to be able to tell you that our staff turnover this year is 5.33 %.
Wishing you a very happy Spring Festival!
