The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), organized by the Australian Mathematics Trust in 1978,is one of the largest and oldest math competitions in the world. Today, students from more than 30 countries participate each year. It is also a key indicator for Australia’s selection of national teams for the International Mathematics Olympiad.
The Australian Mathematics Competition hopes to enrich the learning experience for participants, engage more students in mathematics and help them become creative problem solvers.
This year, XLIS students achieved excellent results in the Australian Mathematics Competition, with 2 students winning the second prize, 5 students winning the third prize, and 14 students winning the Mathematical Proficiency Award!
