Dear Parents ,
I hope this email finds you well. It is hard to believe that December is here. Keep warm as the season changes and the temperature drops.
WWW– Secondary school students are back from WWW after a plethora of skills that they have explored and acquired through the trips. From the mountains at Yangshuo to the amazing cultural experiences at Chengdu and Foshan, it was an opportunity to see China from a different perspective. One that is deep rooted in tradition, sustainability and culinary experiences. Our groups of students in High School who went to Jeju island have come back with lots of service learning, exploration of SDGs and ideas to use in their lessons. This has truly been an experience of a lifetime for a lot of our students. Thanks to parents and teachers for supporting our children and their learning.
Chang’an cup-We have our Chang’an cup coming up from December 4- 6 .As a yearly competition, this is our pride in terms of organizing a tournament. All ECAs are cancelled on December 4 due to this. December 11 will be our final ECA for the semester. We encourage parents and families to come to XLIS to cheer on our Blue Dragons’ girls’ and boys’ teams throughout the tournament!
Parent workshop and DP subject choices-We have our parent workshop for M5 on December 3 led by our DPC, Ms. Eva. PR has sent the invitation to the M5 parents already. There is a DP subject selection fair happening on the 12th of December for M5 students. Our DPC, Ms. Eva and our University Guidance counselor Ms. Erika will lead the session along with other teachers.
Saturday, December 13th – XLIS Christmas Concert and Market. Due to our growing community, the concert will be separated into Primary and Secondary concerts. The Primary concert will take place from 8:30 am – 10:00 am. The Secondary concert will take place from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Please check the emails from the PR on registrations. Pleas register in order to attend this.
