During the 2023 Spring, Xi’an Liangjiatan International School ushered in a new semester. Looking back at the past year, we continued to adhere to our “student-centered” educational philosophy and achieved fruitful academic results through unremitting efforts in the classroom. In addition, to further promote the development of international education in our school and reach a higher level, we have gradually implemented a series of innovative actions, among which family-school collaboration has achieved remarkable results. Since the start of the 2022-2023 Academic Year, we have been listening to parent’s voices along with the school’s PTA, focusing on the challenges parents face in family education. During the first semester, we enthusiastically held diversified parent events featuring a multitude of topics aiming to provide the most effective guidance for student’s learning and growth throughout a wide range of year levels. With a new starting point，we pledge to step forward to promote and enhance a strong family-school connection thus nourishing mutual trust. In February, three Parent Workshop events and two Parent Talk events are going to be held starting on the 9th of February 2023. The details are listed below.
Parent Workshop
· PYP5-9th, February (Thursday)
Theme: Approaches to Learning (ATL’s) and Learner Profile Attributes.
· PYP4-15th, February (Wednesday)
Theme: How to support children at home to learn how to solve their social issues at school.
· PYP6-23rd, February (Thursday)
Theme: Preparing students for MYP and understanding how the PYP is linked to the MYP and DP at XLIS.

Finally, we are planning to organize more family-school interactive activities as we move forward in the second semester. We highly encourage all parents to take part in these rewarding opportunities! We believe that, through a collaborative effort, we will undoubtfully write a new chapter for Xi’an Liangjiatan International Education Community!
