Since the opening of the school on August 19, the daily academic work of Xi’an Liangjiatan International School has been carried out in an orderly and rigorous manner. In this new semester, more than 800 students and teachers from 54 countries and regions around the world will work together to continue writing the next chapter of Liangjiatan’s International Education.
On August 28, the XLIS broader community gathered on campus to participate in the “meet the teachers” event. This meeting aims to provide parents and students with an opportunity to communicate face-to-face with their new homeroom teachers and relevant subject teachers while promoting parental understanding of the daily teaching, course content, student self-management, teacher classroom expectations, and our school’s online communication platforms. In addition, the principal of the division also answered in detail to various related questions raised by parents and students alike.
On August 29, the first PTA core member meeting of the new school year welcomed 27 PTA members from 8 countries. The five relevant agenda points that were shared and discussed included: welcoming new PTA core members, joint learning on the Schoolwide Learner Profile, progress of the “International Day of Peace” event, introducing the process of the PTA elections, and school safety inspection.
Henry Ford once said “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” We believe that as long as teachers and students, families and schools, and the entire community work hand in hand towards the same goals, we will succeed no matter the challenges we may face.
