BPA China National Conference
In an awe-inspiring showcase of determination and talent, students from XLIS left their mark at the recent Business Professionals of America (BPA) China National Conference held in Qingdao on March 1, 2024.
Leading up to the conference, these students poured their hearts and souls into preparation. They sacrificed weekends and free time, fueled by their passion for success and guided by the support of their teacher. Together, they fine-tuned their business product, delved deep into research, and sharpened their presentation skills, all in pursuit of excellence.
March 1, 2024, was the day they had been eagerly anticipating. With excitement and nerves, they embarked on their journey to Qingdao, ready to face the challenge alongside over 400 teams from 150 secondary schools across China.
When the moment of truth arrived, XLIS students confidently and professionally delivered six-months of hard work in front of a panel of judges. Our students’ hard work paid off, earning them one National Bronze Medal, placing one team among the top 15% and one National Silver Medal, a remarkable achievement ranking them in the top 10%, securing a spot in the international round of the BPA competition which will take place in Chicago, USA.
The triumph of the teams extends far beyond the metals and the ranking. It’s about the incredible journey of personal growth they’ve undertaken. From deepening their understanding of business and economics to honing their research and presentation skills, every step of the way has been a lesson in resilience and determination.
But it’s not just about the skills they’ve acquired, it’s also about the experiences of collaborating with a group of like-minded peers through laughter, sweat, and tears. They have support one another every-step of the way and are now celebrating their shared success. Their victory isn’t just for our school, it’s a celebration of their own hard work, dedication, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
The story of XLIS students at the BPA China National Conference is more than just a tale of success; it’s an inspiration to all who dare to dream and strive for greatness. And as they embark on the next chapter of their journey, they do so with the support and admiration of their school, teachers and peers.
