The IBO has collaborated with XLIS to host a series of workshops at our school from June 7th to June 9th. 265 IB education professionals from China, US, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and other countries and regions gathered in our beautiful “Liangjiatan” campus, exchanging and discussing deeply with each other themed on 23 different topics. Dr. Liu, the Head of XLIS, delivered an opening speech and extended a warm welcome to the guests from afar.
This is the first time an IBAP scheduled event has been held away from the eastern region of the country. Through the insightful discussions, collaborative workshops, and knowledge-sharing in the past three days, the IB experts have been putting into action the global value of “a community with a shared future for mankind” and demonstrating their determination and commitment to realize this value.
Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is recognized as a world leader in international education. 5,700 schools are now members of the IBO in 160 countries and regions.
As a workshop leader and IB homeroom teacher in XLIS, I think the regional workshop in our school is fantastic, because of the staff support and facilities, and the workshop I registered is very useful and inspiring because I went to many schools and IB regional workshops, and I’m proud that our school is hosting such big event.
