1. Friday, 7th June – Sunday, 9th June

    IBAP Workshop Event

The IBO has collaborated with XLIS to host a series of workshops at our school over this weekend. This will be the first time this kind of event has been held away from the eastern region of the country. More than 220 participants will come to Xi’an from various countries around the world to take part in 22 different IB workshops. There will be no school for students on June 7th, it will be a professional development day for teachers.

 

2. Saturday, 8th June – Monday, 10th June

    Dragon Boat Festival Holiday

The school will be closed for the Dragon Boat Festival Holiday from Saturday, 8th June to Monday, 10th June, 2024. We wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday.

 

3. Tuesday, 18th June

    PTA Core Member Meeting

The monthly PTA core meeting of June will be held on Tuesday, June 18th, and we will notify all PTA members by email later on.

 

4. Friday, 21st June

    End of Semester 2

From Saturday, June 22nd to Sunday, August 18th, the school will be closed for the summer vacation. We wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday!

 

5. Monday, 24th June – Saturday, 29th June 

    XLIS 2024 Summer Camp Session 1 

The first session of XLIS 2024 Summer Camp will be from June 24th to June 29th, a diverse range of themed camps are provided to ignite students’ passions and cater to their varied interests.

 

6. Sunday, 14th July–Saturday, 27th July 

    XLIS 2024 Summer School

A group of our students will go to University College London (UCL), Oxford University and Cambridge University in the UK to experience a two-week academic course with the company of our teachers.

 

Primary School Events

 

1. Fridays

    Assemblies

Each Friday one of our homeroom classes has the opportunity to showcase what they have been learning! This is a student-led event that is supported by the teachers. The parents of the class that is presenting will be invited to join the audience.

2. Tuesday, 4th June

    Parent Workshop (for PYP1 Parents)

This workshop titled “The Use of Seesaw, IXL and Raz-kids at Home” will be led by Mr. Ben and Ms. Angie. It will introduce parents to ways they can make the best use of our online platforms Seesaw, RAZ Kids and IXL. This includes strengthening home and school communication through sharing action that students take at home to demonstrate their learning and practicing the mathematics and literacy skills they have learned during school time and more.

 

3. Friday, 14th June

    ECE & PYP Graduation

Graduation is an important time in our lives. It is a milestone that marks the end of one path while setting you onto the beginning of a new one. On June 14th, we will be hosting two graduation ceremonies to celebrate the achievements of our ECEB and P6 students. Our ECEB celebration will be from 9:30 am –11:30 am in the 3rd Floor Auditorium and the P6 Graduation will be from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm in the Blue Dragon Theatre.

 

Secondary School Events

 

1. Thursday, 6th June

    MYP Celebration

This is a day when we celebrate our M5 students for the successful completion of the MYP5. This event will start at 10:00am in the Blue Dragon Theatre – all parents of the M5 students are invited to celebrate these amazing young students. After the ceremony, all parents are invited to a lunch in the courtyard. We hope to see as many parents as possible.
