1. Labor Day Holiday – Saturday, 30th April – Monday, 2nd May
The school will be closed for the Labor Day Holiday, on Monday May 2nd, 2022. We wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday.
2. PTA Core Members Meeting – Tuesday, 17th May
The training on the “Restorative Practices Policy” will be conducted at the monthly PTA core member meeting .
Note: This event is a private venture designed for PTA Core Members only. PTA Core Members will be notified accordingly.
3. End of ECAs – Thursday, 2nd June
4. Spring Fun Fair (Swim Gala) – Saturday, 28th May
XLIS looks forward to celebrating its yearly Spring Fair on Saturday May 28th, 2022. This is a half day event that will include an international food buffet, a swimming gala, live performances, and student presentations! The school will send detailed information soon and hopes to celebrate the warmer days of the Spring Season along with our community!
Primary School Events
1. Assemblies – Fridays
Primary assemblies enable students to actively display what they have taken from their units of inquiry during the year. Students have been working on a trans-disciplinary theme which focuses on knowledge, concepts, ATLs (Approaches to Learning), action and Learner Profile attributes. The schedule is as follows,

Secondary School Events
1. DP2 Exams – Monday, 2nd May – ,Wednesday,18th May
Our Diploma Programme students are sitting their final examinations over these first three weeks of May. The exams will be externally assessed, and our students will receive the results from the International Baccalaureate on July the 6th. We wish all of our students the best of luck.
2. MYP Parent Coffee Morning – Tuesday, 10th May
Mrs. Yorke and Ms. Emma will lead a PD for MYP parents regarding transition. Detailed information will be sent to parents soon via email by Secondary school .
3. Student Led Conferences – Friday, 13th May

5. Middle School SDGs Speech Contest – Monday, 23rd May
This is our second annual Middle School SDGs Speech Contest where students will communicate their passionate pleas for improving the planet, considering one of the 17 SDG goals.
6. SDGs Project Week – Friday, 27th May – Thursday, 2nd June
Our MYP students will be involved in SDGs projects for an entire week. They will look at global problems through local lenses. They will come up with solutions to issues inside and outside the school and will present to the community on the final day. This is an event where students are in the lead and show their growing understanding of global issues.
