Student-led Conference
On the 11th we held our student-led conferences. PYP students brought their parents into class and took them on a journey through their learning. The visual arts department once again provided the community with a phenomenal exhibition. MYP and DP students framed their learning around a key concept, describing the conceptual connections between subjects. Student-led conferences are one of the highlights of the academic year, when our community gets to learn from our students.

Thanks for having come to the PYP Visual Arts Show 2026, where students shared a sample of the art they had created and explored throughout the year. This special event celebrated student creativity, growth, and imagination through IB Visual Arts lessons, showcasing how students expressed themselves and demonstrated their learning in art class. The event also featured the community design contest ”Leave Nothing But Footprints.” Students, staff, and families designed and brought their own trash-recycle bin for a chance to win the Best Design award in each division.

Primary Parent Workshop
“Learning Language in the IB PYP Framework” is designed to help parents understand how language development is integrated into the Primary Years Programme (PYP) through inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning. The workshop highlighted the role of language in developing international-mindedness, research and communication skills, and also provided practical strategies to support children’s linguistic growth at home.

2nd ”Starlight ” Chinese Story Contest
The 2nd Starlight Chinese Storytelling Competition Concludes Successfully!
The 2nd Starlight Chinese Storytelling Competition is specially designed for PYP Chinese Language Acquisition Students. It aims to encourage children to confidently and boldly take the stage, showcasing their Chinese language skills and storytelling abilities. Participants share stories related to Chinese culture, helping more students learn about, appreciate, and fall in love with Chinese culture.
This year, a total of 62 groups participated in the preliminary round, from which we selected 10 groups in the Lower Primary division and 10 groups in the Upper Primary division for the finals. We were also honored to invite students from Xi’an International School to perform alongside our students, sharing wonderful Chinese stories together. Every student shone with confidence on stage, filling the event with laughter and applause. The competition not only showcased the talents of the children but also received high praise from parents and teachers.
We look forward to next year’s storytelling event, continuing to celebrate the charm of Chinese language and culture!
