Whole School Events
There are three major transitions in the life of our students. Moving from early years to primary, moving from primary to middle school and moving from our middle years programme to the diploma programme. When students move from the primary school to the middle school, they move from the care of a full-time homeroom teacher to moving between ten different classes. At XLIS, we have two dedicated homeroom teachers to care for our secondary school students. These teachers check in with the class each morning and are a point of contact for parents. During this week, we will help our students learn about their new classes and, most importantly, develop self-management skills.
XLIS ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) programs will officially conclude on June 11th. Throughout this term, our students have actively engaged in various ECA sessions, demonstrating growth, creativity, and enthusiasm. Please note that after the final ECA session, students will be dismissed at their regular school dismissal time.
On June 12, XLIS will hold its 2025–2026 All Staff Meeting. As one of the school’s annual traditions, the event provides an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past academic year, recognize colleagues celebrating 5 and 10 years of service, and express our sincere appreciation and best wishes to those who will be leaving the school. Celebrating our shared journey, honoring dedication, and looking ahead to the next chapter together.
From Saturday, June 20th to Sunday, August 16th, the school will be closed for the summer vacation. We wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday!

At XLIS, we take time at the end of the school year to celebrate two important milestones in our students PYP journeys. The Early Years graduation signifies the growth and accomplishments of our youngest learners through two years in our Early Years program. They will move from a play-based program to a more structured school day, including eating in the cafeteria and playing on the big playground from next year. For our P6 students, this is the end of their PYP journey and marks the beginning of their time in Middle School. They have developed their independence and self-management skills and are ready to take on new challenges. We are very much looking forward to celebrating the Early Years and P6 Graduation with our students and their families.
