On the morning of 22nd October, XLIS hosted an international cultural exchange activity comprised of 12 outstanding primary and secondary school students from Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) in Malaysia.
Dr. Lily Liu, the Head of School, Ms. Kathy Wei, the Head of HR, and Mr. Kriss Parker, the Head of Logistics, as well as Mr. Hakim Halim, the secondary PE teacher from Malaysia, gave a warm welcome to the guests. Dr. Lily Liu introduced the history, the educational philosophy, and the exploration of internationalization of XLIS, while Mr. Marcus Sherwood, the founding principal of POWIIS, shared the school’s vision of education and expressed his desire to promote cooperation between the two schools in various fields starting with this exchange. The two head of schools exchanged gifts, which symbolized the long-lasting friendship between the two schools.
POWIIS, located in Penang, Malaysia, is an international school with a British-style education system. The school is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education in academics, sports, arts, and other diversified subjects. Since its establishment, POWIIS has earned an excellent reputation in Malaysia and in the international education field.
