Dear Parents,
This semester has flown by and we are in the last month before the Xmas holidays. Please make sure the students come to school till the last day of school as they will have to complete their summative assessments which will contribute to their report grades in the January reports.
Our students are very busy now with their Personal project and their e-portfolios. This semester we have arranged the classes so that the students can focus on one portfolio so they will have more time to produce quality work. Please support the students by asking them to talk about their progress in the Personal project and their e-portfolios.
Now is the time for our students to start thinking about their future and their DP. To this end, we have organized a meeting on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 am in the conference room at XLIS. This will be an opportunity for us to discuss your child’s future and following this event, we will have the DP choice evening. Please the message from the DP Coordinator, M. Shameek Ghosh.
We are also pleased to invite you to the DP Course Selection evening on Friday 1st of December 2023.
Time: 3:45-4:45 pm. Venue: Black Box.
This will be an opportunity for you to explore the subjects that your children will choose. The teachers and the college counsellors will be interacting with you. Please do not hesitate to ask questions, that you may have. The evening aims to get you to know the subjects more, the levels that exist and discuss the choices with the respective teachers. We want this to be an opportunity for you to start conversations back home before the choices are made. All the forms need to be handed over by December 8th, 2023.
We will look at the current academic performances of your child and the HL subjects will require teacher recommendations.
