With the school year coming to a close, our residents celebrated their time together. Diploma students just finished their exams and are moving on, but there is much more to residential life at XLIS than only academics.
Living on campus allows students to focus on their studies, by cutting down on the travel time from the city. It allows students to use these extra hours of the week to socialize with peers, engage in different activities, such as swimming while also having scheduled study times.
The high school students were sent off with a barbecue and birthday celebration. A number of students displayed the attribute of risk-taking by rapping, playing in a band and dancing. I asked one younger student if he liked living on campus and he replied, “I love it”. The school looks forward to welcoming more of our students to residential life in the future as we strive to lead education through innovation and a student-centered, community driven approach.
