XLIS was formerly the International Department of Xi’an Hi-tech International School, founded in 2003, relocated to the new campus of Liangjiatan International Community, 103 acre-feet of land with modern educational facilities. XLIS is an important part of Shaanxi’s provincial international education, foreign exchange cooperation into the “Belt and Road” policy. It also serves the crucial educational support of Shaanxi Free Trade Zone and Xi’an high-tech zone. XLIS aims to provide international baccalaureate education for children between the ages of 3 to 18 years old for local foreign nationals and high-level talents, carrying the important mission of spreading Chinese culture, attracting and retaining talents, and boosting regional economic development. Currently, XLIS consists of nearly 700 teachers and students from more than 30 countries and regions; teachers’ ratio to students is 1:4.
Xi’an Liangjiatan International School is the first to achieve the 15-year accreditation of the International Baccalaureate Organization from kindergarten to high school and became the northwest’s first world IB (International Baccalaureate) school, as well as the first authorized U.S. SAT AP test center. It is also a member school of the Western Alliance for School and College Education (WASC) and The Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS), Jr. NBA Curriculum Authorized School, and Shaanxi International Youth Exchange Camp.

Recruitment Requirements
■ For foreign teacher, over five years’ teaching experience, with an bachelor above degree in educationor PGCE and a teaching certificate for international teachers. More than three years’ experience in respective IB program and respective subjects；
■ At least five years’ teaching experience withan advanced degree (MEd, PhD etc.) and outstanding teaching research outcomes for Chinese teachers and strong ability of English and Chinese Bilingual Teaching. More than three years’ experience in respective IB program and subjects and a teaching certificate；
■ A truly international perspective, in-depth understanding of IB education, cross-cultural competence andstrong communication skills;
■ Preferred subject Leader, IBE, workshop leader, site visit team member, examiner, moderator.
