IBDP graduates visited XLIS, carrying forward the XLIS community spirit.
With the continuous development of Xi’an Liangjiatan International School, an increasing number of IBDP students have graduated from our school in recent years and have traveled to various countries around the world to pursue higher education, exploring the infinite possibilities in their lives. The energy and confidence instilled in them by their alma mater during their growth journey are the driving force for their future endeavors, and the deep bonds among alumni have become an invaluable treasure in their lives.
No matter where you may be studying or working right now, just mentioning “XLIS” can trigger our shared memories – “XLIS” is our alma mater, our youth, our nostalgia, and above all, our shared code for all of “us”.
To better unite XLIS alumni from all over the world and create an effective platform for interaction and communication among them, XLIS began preparations to establish the XLIS Alumni Association at the beginning of 2025. We also set up alumni network groups on LinkedIn and WeChat, inviting outstanding graduates to join. In the half-year since the Alumni Association was founded, many alumni have returned to XLIS to meet with teachers and younger students, sharing their learning and growth experiences.
· Alumni Gathering at the End of the 2024-2025 Academic Year
On January 8th, 2025, Mark Ma and Jarry Liang, XLIS IBDP graduates of Classes of 2020 and 2022 IBDP, visited our campus and brought the first New Year surprise to Liangjiatan.
Mark Ma is currently a senior at the University of Southern California, majoring in Computer Science. He is scheduled to complete his master’s degree at the university in 2026.
Jarry Liang completed all credits for his undergraduate program in liberal arts at Illinois Wesleyan University in the United States in just two years. Currently, as a full-scholarship student, he is studying in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Oxford in the UK, alongside classmates from Harvard University and Princeton University.

On June 20th, 2025, 12 former IBDP graduates gathered at XLIS, for a cordial exchange to share experiences with their teachers and current students.
Vincy Cao obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in the United States. For her master’s and doctoral degrees, she pursued chemical engineering at the University of Tokyo in Japan. Currently, she is completing her doctoral research and studies.
In addition, this year we also established an “Alumni Profiles” section on the XLIS official website, where we share the stories of past graduating alumni, as well as their current whereabouts. Through their stories, we could see how they have fully utilized their strengths, explored their passions, and gradually grown into a new generation of promising young talents with global competence in an IB context. At present, nearly all of our high school graduates from the past decade of years have been admitted to prestigious universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, etc. The university admission rate is 100%. Growing up under the IB education philosophy, our alumni are open-minded, inclusive, and embracing diverse cultures. They are independent thinkers and effective collaborators, and they have also became confident and open-minded global citizens. No matter how far they go, XLIS will always be the shared place that inspired their dreams. Through XLIS, our alumni consistently inspire the younger generation. Alumni return visits at XLIS reflect our school’s long-standing mission and vision, and the most profound inheritance of the “Liangjiatan” spirit. We will continue to organize a variety of alumni activities in the future to foster an even stronger XLIS alumni family, Allowing our alumni network to continuously nourish future learners at XLIS.
