1. Orientation Week for New Staff
We have welcomed 20 new staff members to the school. This time was dedicated to setting them up to succeed by introducing them to the different systems the school uses as well as to what planning, instruction and assessment look like at XLIS. During our pre-boarding sessions these new members were introduced to the XLIS mission as well as our Schoolwide Learner Outcomes. During that week they started to understand how these are put into action.
2. Orientation Week for All Staff
The staff at XLIS, along with our students, are the heart and soul of the school. We came together around our mission and vision before digging into the two most important aspects of what we do.
· Ensuring every student achieves their very best academically.
· Providing a safe, inclusive environment for all our students.
· Staff planed and set up their learning spaces for the community day.
3. 2025-2026 Academic Year New Parents’ Orientation
To better collaborate and cooperate for students’ growth at XLIS, we invited all new parents to join in the New Parents’ Orientation on Aug. 11th afternoon to know more about the academic requirement and other school routines, so as to integrate into XLIS community smoothly.
4. Community Day
A successful partnership between school and family helps develop confident and well-rounded students. The Community Day was designed for meeting with all parents. It was divided into Primary session and Secondary session, which were all led by the Senior Leadership Team.
