Dear parents ,
At XLIS, we are guided by a strong mission and vision that emphasizes the importance of fostering a student-centered and community-driven environment that empowers students to be confident, open-minded global citizens. We firmly believe in creating an inclusive and supportive community where each student can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
In line with our mission and vision, XLIS is dedicated to organizing various events that aim to strengthen the connection between parents, students, and staff. This year, we are excited to introduce a series of games and tournaments that will be held throughout the school year. These Tournaments not only provide a platform for our students to showcase their skills and sportsmanship but also serve as an opportunity for their peers, parents, and teachers to come together as a united community and show their unwavering support.
- Student Cheerleaders
To create an electrifying atmosphere that motivates our players and uplifts the entire community. Our PTA core members suggested our talented students to form Secondary/Primary School cheerleading teams. These teams will have the opportunity to cheer on their fellow students before the games and during halftime. If your child has a passion for cheerleading or individual cheer talent performances, please feel free to contact Ms. Fiona, the Secretary to the Primary Principal (fiona.bai@xalis.com), and Ms. Bella (bella.yang@xalis.com), the Secretary to the Secondary Principal. They will be delighted to assist in organizing the cheerleading teams.
- Parent Involvement
In addition, I warmly invite you, our valued parents, to actively participate in the upcoming school games and tournaments. There are various ways you can contribute: by providing food & beverage booths for the event, volunteering as event helpers, or simply cheering on our student-athletes with your child from the sidelines. Please feel free to contact Mr. Alex, the Director of Whole School Cultural Activities & Dormitory (alex.rambaud@xalis.com) to share more innovative ideas.
- Parent Volunteer Committee
We are thrilled to share that XLIS will be hosting the ACAMIS Jr. Swimming competition on March 15th-16th, 2024, and we are expecting participation from over 200 students representing various ACAMIS member schools. To ensure the success of this event and to showcase the strength and hospitality of the XLIS community, we are seeking enthusiastic parent volunteers. If you want to be involved, please reach out to Mr. Zhang, the Chairman of PTA, at (hui@drmums.hk ) or Mr. Alex, the Director of Whole School Cultural Activities & Dormitory (alex.rambaud@xalis.com) to sign up.
