2. Earthquake Drill – Wednesday, 10th May
A school earthquake drill is a practice exercise that XLIS conducts to prepare students, faculty, and staff for earthquakes. The drill usually involves a simulated earthquake scenario where everyone is required to quickly and calmly demonstrate what to do in the event of an earthquake. The importance of school emergency drills such as a fire or earthquake drill cannot be overstated. Earthquakes can strike suddenly and without warning, and the impact can be severe. By practicing earthquake drills, we can help students, faculty, and staff develop the necessary skills and knowledge to respond quickly and safely in the event of a real earthquake. This can help minimize the risk of injury or loss of life and increase the chances of a successful evacuation and recovery.
