Wins Multiple Awards in
Harvard Model United Nations China 2023
From August 18th to 21st, the Harvard Model United Nations China 2023 Conference was held in Guangzhou. Participating students discussed and debated international issues within the framework of the United Nations. Nineteen model union presidents from Harvard University ensured a high academic standard for the conference that hosted over 600 representatives from more than 50 top high schools in China. Five secondary XLIS student representatives participated as delegates from Brazil, India, Sweden, and Spain. They formed alliances based on their countries’ stances, debated various topics, and voted on the draft resolutions. Additionally, our students took part in the traditional Harvard Model Union event – Global Village, where they improvised group dances, earning significant acclaim from the conference attendees.
XLIS students were amazing in the conference. M3A Eva was awarded “Best Delegate”, M4A Chloe “Outstanding Delegate”, M4A David “Honorable Mention”, and XLIS is the “Outstanding Organiser School”. Here, we congratulate all the teachers and students who participated in this conference and hope that more students will join the Model United Nations Club. We wish our school Model United Nations Club another great success this academic year!
