Dear Parents,
Hope this email finds you well. We are gradually drawing to the end of the academic year 2024-2025. As we move into this time of the year, I would like to extend my gratitude for all the support you have given the students, teachers and myself as the principal. Parent, students, teachers and administrators together form the communities that we build and legacies we leave at the school.
Our M4 and M5 students are currently active with their work experience and learning in different areas. We still have some events to go before we finish off the school year.
Week without walls (WWW)- The following week (June 2-6), our secondary students are traveling to different parts of the country for their WWW experience. This is the opportunity for our students to engage and serve with the local communities by forging partnerships. Following this up with timed reflections and bringing back the learning to our context would allow students to understand essentials of service learning and be more empathetic and appreciative. Students build a whole range of ATL skills in the process. Please refer to the trip communications that have been sent and reach out to the trip leaders for any clarifications.
Parent workshop on June 10-Join us for an informative parent workshop focused on summer camps and reading programs during the vacation! This session will provide valuable insights into the benefits of summer enrichment activities, including how they can enhance your child’s learning and social skills. We’ll explore how to look out for various camp options and reading initiatives designed to keep students engaged and excited about learning over the break. Closer to the date, PR will be reaching out for registrations.
IB workshops at XLIS– XLIS is hosting IB workshops from June 13-15. We will have a lot of participants coming to attend different workshops. June 13th is a non-student day
MAP family reports for M1-M4-Our homeroom teachers are sending out the MAP family reports to you by the end of this week (May 30th). We encourage you to have conversations with your child based on the report. Homeroom teachers and subject teachers are using the reports to have conversations with the students and focus on growth in terms of content, skills and attitudes to learning.
Thanks for all the support once again and please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Regards,
Shameek Ghosh
