In order to let the students feel the tension of the protagonists in the process of their house assignment, the library teachers presented the process of assigning their house in the form of a quiz. More than 150 students successfully completed the quiz, and received special bookmarks and student IDs of their selected house.
During the one-month reading event, middle school students worked with the library teachers and art teachers, and turned the library into a “magic school” in their understanding. The primary school students also learned about the style of fiction books by “Harry Potter”. Under the guidance of the library teachers they also realize all characterizes of the stories, and the unpredictable storylines.
This activity aroused students’ enthusiasm for reading “Harry Potter” series of books. Students who are already familiar with the wizarding world of “Harry Potter” actively participate in the organization of the event and explain and share various knowledge about “Harry Potter” to their friends. Students who have not watched “Harry Potter” also started reading the series of books with curiosity and actively participated in the activity. Feedback from teachers
The ollege test and the selection of magic wands made the students feel the magic and the power of words. Reading allows us to reflect, and reading allows us to create. Thank you for the exhibition presented to us by the library event!
The Harry Potter theme library reading activity gradually ended with the cheers of students and teachers, but our enthusiasm and determination to encourage students to read independently did not end. Next, we will collect other literary books or popular authors that students liked, then organize new and more interesting library events. Stay tuned!
