The 2023 XLIS Spring Concert
Welcoming the Year with a Message of Hope!
XLIS has undeniably set a high standard when it comes to the quality of its student performing art shows. Year after year, students practice persistently to deliver awe inspiring performances and showcase their talent to the delight of our community members.
The end of the first semester of the 2022-2023 required our organization to postpone our beloved Christmas show, in order to safeguard the health of our students and staff against the rapid spread of COVID.
However, we have proven time and time again, that we never shy away from challenging situations, especially if our students are affected.
Something had to be done to acknowledge the time and effort spent rehearsing with genuine enthusiasm. We knew in our hearts that creating a new opportunity for our students to perform and express themselves through the performing arts, was a necessary action for us to take.
Christmas has just passed us, but the hope of better days to come is very much alive in every single one of our community members, and this was the spark that was needed to rename the show as the 2023 XLIS Spring Concert and welcome the new year with a genuine message of hope.
The program featured a combination of Christmas carols and other contemporary songs, and our students reminded us again of their outstanding performing skills and fearlessness in front of an audience. Each song brought our community members closer together during this memorable event.
