On October 16, 2024, XLIS successfully held its Fall University Fair, attracting 18 universities from eight countries and regions worldwide, including Hong Kong, the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, and Australia. This event was not only an exchange of information but also a good opportunity for students and parents to engage directly with university representatives, allowing them to gain insights into the latest admission policies, application processes, and academic programs.
During the event, students gradually realized the importance of considering the alignment between their personal development and the university’s values when making future academic decisions. For instance, some students were deeply attracted to the humanities and arts programs offered by French universities, while others were drawn to the flexible course options available at U.S. universities. Such choices are based not only on academic standards but also on the unique appeal of each school’s campus culture, educational philosophy, and international opportunities.
For parents, the fair also served as an important learning opportunity. Through conversations with university representatives, they gained a deeper understanding of the specific requirements for university admissions, enabling them to better support and guide their children’s future academic planning. The information and resources provided at the fair will help parents and students make more targeted preparations and selections during the upcoming application process.
