Based on the school’s educational vision, Dr. Liu, the Head of XLIS, focused on three core elements: ” leading education through innovation”, “student-centered” and “community-driven” approach, and shared some successful experience of IBDP teaching practices at XLIS. In terms of curriculum design, XLIS attaches great importance to the combination of theory with the real world and practical application. By designing various interdisciplinary project activities, we encourage students to comprehensively apply knowledge from different subjects, establish interdisciplinary connections, and at the same time cultivate students’ creativity, teamwork spirit and critical thinking skill. In such an environment, students break through the limitation of stereotyped learning model. With advanced technological support, the learning process continuously extends towards personalization and autonomy. Meanwhile, community linkage makes the connection between home and school closer, and cultural diversity and inclusion consistently enhance the cohesion and unity of the entire community. Home-school co-education provides long-lasting and profound nourishment for students’ growth.
Thanks to the KingLead for the honor bestowed upon our school. We will always adhere to our educational mission of “enabling students to be confident.open-minded global citizens through life-long learning and a sense of community”, and continue to forge ahead on the path of exploring top-notch international education around the world without stopping.
