Dear Parents,
Good morning! I hope you are doing well! It was an absolute pleasure to see many of our parents at our “Journey of Love” Christmas Concert and Market on Saturday. I love how our school events bring our community together! It was wonderful to see participation from our teachers and parents as well! A special thank you to Mr. Dwyer, Mr. Parker and the logistics team, Dr. Kim, and Dr. Yeom for their extended efforts to make the event so wonderful.
December can be a challenging time heading into the Christmas Holiday, as it spans a long 10 weeks from our October Break to Christmas, and many children and family members may be getting sick. Additionally, the weather is turning colder as we approach January. With only four school days left until the holiday, I am wishing you all warmth and good health.
This week, we are having a little bit of fun at XLIS to add some Christmas cheer to the week leading up to the holidays. Our Primary and Secondary Student Councils have come up with the Christmas Spirit Week. Students are encouraged to participate each day with a different dress-up item:

In addition, they have set up a donation drive for warm clothing that will be donated to the Yellow River Soup Kitchen. The items can be brought to the collection boxes in our library. These kinds of events can help bring our community closer together. The vision of XLIS is to lead education through innovation and a student-centered, community-driven approach. We are always keeping this vision at the forefront of all that we do.
This is my last email before the Christmas holiday and the New Year. With 2026 on the horizon, I wish you all a safe, healthy, and joyful holiday season with your family. I look forward to welcoming the children back to school on January 5, 2026!
As always, you may reply to this email to let me know how things are going.
Warm wishes,
