Dear Parents,
We are now in a very busy time of the year when all summative assessments must be completed, and reports prepared. Many students have been falling sick in the past weeks. I hope they recover soon. Please send an email to the homeroom teacher with a medical certificate if your child is going to be away for more than 1 day.
This semester has been a busy one and we have had a lot of meetings with parents, and it was good to see the interaction between parents during our workshop.
I would like to remind parents of M5 to DP2 students of the workshop that will be held on Thursday 14thDecember. This is an important event led by our coordinators when they will go through the predicted grades, their nature, and their purpose in the IB. I hope to see many parents at this workshop.
As we reach the end of this semester, I would like to thank all parents for their dedication to our school and their readiness to collaborate in all events. We have another semester which will be as busy and we welcome all suggestions from all of you- teamwork leads to success.
As this is a time for students to submit their summative assignments, please ensure that you do not organize early departure from school. If a student is sick, we will plan for a later submission only with a doctor’s note.
M. Koran, our Language Acquisition teacher has emailed several parents about the National Spelling Bee competition. I would like to congratulate all 29 students from the Middle School who made it to the quarter-finals. This is a really meaningful endeavour and I would like to thank M.Koran for taking the initiative.
I wish you all Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year 2024. I hope next semester will bring more collaboration between the school and the parents.
Sincerely
Jaimala Quinlan
Secondary Principal
