2. Tuesday, 12th December
PTA Core Members Meeting
The December monthly PTA core members meeting of the school year will be held on Tuesday, December 12th, and we will notify all PTA members by email later on.
3. Thursday, 14th December
End of ECAs
On Thursday the 14th of December, 2023, our ECAs for the first semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year, will come to an end. The XLIS ECA team will email you a satisfaction survey for you to complete. We hope that our ECA program continues to support the growth of your child(ren) at XLIS!

Christmas Concert 2023
Theme: From XHIS to XLIS: 20 Years of Joyful Jingles!
Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM.
Location: Blue Dragon Theater at XLIS
We are thrilled to announce the start of our Christmas Season and the events that make it such a special time of the year! Join us on Saturday December 16th, 2023 as we celebrate the start of the Holiday Season!
This year, we are also celebrating a journey of 20 years of international education: from XHIS to XLIS! It is an opportunity to build a stronger, more united community through the spirit of Christmas. We also thank our amazing PTA for organizing this year’s Christmas Market!

Christmas Break & New Year’s Day Holiday
Our school’s Christmas Break and New Year’s Day Holiday is observed from the 22nd December, 2023 to 7th January, 2024. We welcome our students and staff back to school, on Monday the 8th of January 2024!

1. Fridays Assemblies
Each Friday one of our homeroom classes has the opportunity to showcase what they have been learning! This is a student-led event that is supported by the teachers. The parents of the class that is presenting will be invited to join the audience.

Parent Workshop (for PYP5)
How to Support Your Child at Home (including the school platforms, such as Raz Kids and IXL) led by Ms. Julia.
Do you find it challenging to support your child when a text book is not the main source of learning? Are you wondering how to support your child’s language acquisition at home? In this workshop, you will be exploring the functions of the learning platforms and sharing ideas of how to use them wisely and effectively at home. The workshop leader will share some practical strategies you can use for home support.
The workshop agenda is below,

Secondary School Events
1. Wednesday, 6th December
Open Day (for MYP5 – DP2)
In December, we will have the last Parent Open Day session in 2023-2024, which is mainly for M5-DP2 parents. High school learning and campus life is tighter compared with lower grades. We do hope this activity can give parents more opportunities to understand the learning for high school students so as to provide the most needed support as they can as parents.
2. Thursday, 14th December
Parent Workshop ( for DP1 & DP2)
During this workshop, our DP Coordinator, Mr. Shameek Gosh will explain the meaning of Predicted grades for our DP students, the purpose of these grades and how they are calculated by the teachers. He will also address the misconceptions that arise in parents and students regarding this element of the DP. We expect to see many parents at this workshop as it is important for you all to have a clear idea of the PGs.
