To enhance language proficiency, we provide immersion classes in English, Chinese, and Korean. These classes are led by certified XLIS language educators and include cultural activities such as cooking, the celebration of local and international cultural festivals, and the exploration of supporting literature.
2. Extensive Math and Science Club
Our after-school Math and Science club includes math and science sessions where students can reinforce what they have learned at school during their regular classes. These lessons are delivered by an XLIS subject teacher and include experiments, and opportunities to further research and present their findings through the lenses of the math and science worlds.
3. Innovative Art and Music Programs
Our art classes go beyond the basics, offering specialized courses in digital art, photography, and pottery. Boarding students can also participate in gallery exhibitions, showcasing their work to the community. For music enthusiasts, we have music teachers to support them in further developing their music production skills or to focus on a musical instrument of their preference.
4. Community Service and Leadership Opportunity
Boarding students can also take part in volunteer projects that connect to their META projects, personal projects, and Service and Action initiatives thus directly making a positive impact in our boarding community.
We also offer a student leadership opportunity where applying students may run for the Student Advocate position. This one-of-a-kind opportunity allows the Student Advocate to represent and speak for the rest of the student resident community.
