The Jr. Chang’an Cup
The 2nd Annual Xi’an International Elementary Basketball Invitational
The final tournament day of the 2nd Xi’an Elementary International Basketball League was successfully held in our campus on May 14th. As a member of ACAMIS, one of our strategic goals is to develop a continuous program for core team sports like basketball from the primary school to the end of secondary. Therefore, this year’s basketball tournament had a new name: The Jr. Chang’an Cup. Eight teams from five international schools participated in this year’s tournament. A significant milestone worth celebrating is that this year our school developed a girls’ team in primary for the first time to go along with the first international schools’ girls division in the basketball league. After weekly league games over a two-month period, the girls’ team of our school lost to their opponent and finished second place in the final. The boys’ team lived up to their expectations and won the championship trophy.
