In August 2026, at the recently concluded WYF-FELS 2026 & NEC & BPA Global Finals, our students made a brilliant impression on the international stage with their solid business acumen and outstanding teamwork, achieving remarkable results!
This year’s Global Finals brought together young students from more than 20 countries and regions, who engaged in in-depth exchanges and competitions around cutting-edge business topics. Our participating students delivered outstanding performances at the BPA Global Finals, particularly in the Entrepreneurship, fully demonstrating clear business logic, innovative project ideas, and strong adaptability in live settings.
Student Reflection
2. Looking back on your entire BPA journey—from preparation to competition—what challenges did you encounter and how did you overcome them? What has been the greatest growth or takeaway from this experience for you personally? And is there a particular moment that stands out as especially memorable?
I think the hardest part was making HopeBox feel like a real project rather than just an idea. We changed and improved it many times during preparation, and sometimes we even disagreed on how the project should move forward.
But that process taught me a lot about working with my teammates and staying confident when things don’t go exactly as planned. Personally, I became much more comfortable speaking in front of people and expressing my ideas.
The moment that stayed with me the most was walking onto the stage at the global finals. We had spent so much time preparing for that moment, so finally being there felt a little unreal. I’d also like to thank Ms. Eva for taking time out of her summer to give us advice and support throughout our preparation. Her feedback really helped us improve our project and feel more confident competing.

As for the challenges that we have faced during our BPA journey, our biggest one was simply staying consistent, where the three of us had to coordinate our time to have meetings online during the summer holidays, where a lot of meetings were squeezed into what was supposed to be our break, and it wasn’t always easy to stay motivated. There were points where it genuinely felt like we were falling behind, especially as the competition date got closer, which made it hard not to get discouraged.
So, we always reminded each other what we were aiming towards, and what we actually wanted. And this process taught me and my team about teamwork and perseverance, and working in a team of three on this economics project also taught us to divide and split the work in a way that actually maximizes everyone’s strength, for instance, one of us focused on shaping the vision behind our idea, another led the promotion and advertising strategy, and the third handled both the product design and financial planning.
And if there was a moment that stands out as especially memorable, it would be seeing our team’s name announced on the top ten list, it was such a mix of relief and excitement after everything we’d been through. All the meetings with Ms. Eva on the holidays, the back-and-forth and remembering the scripts, everything we had prepared —- in that one moment it felt completely worth it.
This outstanding achievement not only highly recognizes our students’ business literacy and comprehensive abilities, but also reflects our school’s continued efforts in building an international education and student-centred growth platform. Through establishing business clubs and organizing super-curricular trainings beyond school hours, XLIS provides students with systematic academic competition preparation support.
Looking ahead, our school will continue to build on the diverse array of super-curricular platforms, encourage more students to participate in high-level international competitions, to broaden their global perspectives, hone their skills and help them reach their highest potential.
