Professional Development
From November 17-20th, the primary school staff will continue their learning that started last year with Erin Kent Consulting (EKC). On the 19th and 20th, our strategist, Ms. Annie Ng, will lead class demonstrations, model lessons and lead coaching sessions for the staff. This is a valuable PD to continue working towards our first school wide goal to support our students in their language acquisition.

XLIS Dragon Cave Dormitory Challenge IIII
We’re excited to announce that on Sunday, November 2nd, the XLIS Dormitory will welcome its fourth cohort of students (M2C). These students will embark on a transformative two-week experience, living in community while building essential life skills such as cooking, teamwork, and effective time management to take ownership of their free time.
Through the UNESCO Four Pillars of Learning, we guide them to “know, do, be, and live together.” This approach prepares our students for independence and equips them to become active, functioning members of society.

The Week Without Walls at Xi’an LiangJiatan International School is a dynamic program that takes learning beyond the classroom. From November 24th to 28th, 2025, students will embark on trips designed to empower them as global citizens through real-world, hands-on experiences. The purpose is to help students apply academic knowledge, develop essential life skills like leadership and problem-solving, and participate in meaningful Service as Action projects, all while fostering a deeper understanding of their role in the world.
This year, students will explore themes aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals across different locations. MYP1 to MYP3 will travel domestically to Chengdu (Wildlife Preservation), Foshan (Sustainable Communities), and Yangshuo (Responsible Tourism). Meanwhile, MYP4 to DP1 will journey to Jeju Island, South Korea, to investigate specialized themes such as Sustainable Infrastructure, Clean Water, and Marine Biodiversity. Through these focused experiences, students gain a global perspective and learn how to contribute to a more sustainable and peaceful future.
